From community centers to the White House, our mission is to convene, advocate, educate & connect.

Our Areas of Focus

Principled Advocacy

We have done the work. Deep experience, credibility, and strong personal and professional networks — we seek to leverage all three to advocate for the interests of Afghan-Americans at the federal, state, and local levels. We regularly engage with policy makers to ensure that Afghan-Americans not only participate in the conversation but also set the agenda.

Research & Analysis

Data matters. We support objective research, reporting, and analysis on issues of interest to Afghan-Americans. We work with leading universities and institutions in the United States to identify opportunities for exploration and scholarship that would benefit Afghan-Americans and Afghanistan.

Coalition Building

We value collaboration. Our ability to build bridges and pave avenues of collaboration set us apart. Whether working with other Afghan-American organizations, similarly situated communities in the U.S., government, non-profit organizations or partners in the private sector, we welcome opportunities to join others committed to advancing our mission.

Civic Engagement

Afghan-Americans are ready to lead. We strive to empower our community to develop the capacity, skills, and connections to make a difference. We see the Afghan-American community as a part of the social and political fabric of America. We want to foster a bias for action in every member.

Education & Exchange

Information can transform. From building knowledge within the Afghan-American diaspora to creating opportunities for the broader American public to learn about Afghanistan, Afghan history, language, culture, and traditions, we believe information can lead shape narratives, perceptions, and ultimately realities.
